| This
is my allotment, in Sherburn In Elmet. We pay a very
small fee to the local allotment society for it. Its
great exercise digging and weeding. I got the plot in
late 2005, so 2006 is the first year we have been able
to get crops in. A long way from self sufficientcy,
but fresh vegetables will be nice.

here, watering the potatos

Everyone
helps out.

A
good crop of strawberries in on its way. But the ground
is so dry.

This
is the back of the plot. Space for composting etc. And
an area to try things that might not grow

Another
view, here are the raspberry bushes that mask off the
back of the allotment.

Even
Alan helps - here cutting the paths down after they
became overgrown.

And
he waters the potatoes too.

Broadbeans growing up well

More
lettuce than anyone should have to eat.

Raspberry
bushes beginning to come into fruit

I
also grow some vegetables at home :-
